Before launching any campaign, we must know the end goal.

The end goal is reaching a lead-per-meeting rate that is scalable enough (given the Total Addressable Market (TAM)) to reach the monthly pipeline goals.

Three factors determine your ability to reach that goal:

1.Email Deliverability

2.Targeting

3.Messaging

Given a rigorous email infrastructure and deliverability process, you can assume emails going to spam is never the problem.

That leaves two additional factors that contribute to your conversion rates:

1.Targeting (i.e. are you reaching out to the right people and companies)

2.Messaging (i.e. are you saying the right thing to them)

Before kicking off a new campaign, you should have already done extensive research. So most of the time, targeting is not the issue. While you can’t completely rule it out, you want to focus your efforts on message testing first.

How to determine which campaigns are worth testing.

Not all campaigns are worth testing.

First, you need to determine if there are at least 200 leads that fit that criteria. If not, we consider that a “one-off” campaign.

One-off campaigns are still useful, but they aren’t great for automated email campaigns. We want to save those for when we get to a multi-channel strategy to make the most of them. Or for when we need quick meetings.

Go through all the campaign ideas and label the ones that meet this criteria.

How to come up with campaign ideas.

Whether you're building campaigns for yourself, your own sales team, or a client, the process starts the same: assume there’s a winning outbound angle. You just need to test until you find it.

That’s why we begin every engagement (or personal outbound sprint) by generating as many smart, creative campaign ideas as possible. The more angles you explore, the faster you’ll land on something that resonates.

Here are three ways to spark campaign ideas:

1.Tap into your own experience and intuition—what's worked before? Pull ideas directly from your team or client—they often know their audience best.

2. Pull ideas directly from your team or client—they often know their audience best.

3. Use AI tools like ChatGPT to explore new angles you may not have considered yet.

You will fail.

It's unavoidable.

All you can do is commit to showing up tomorrow.

That's it!!

It can be a GOOD thing! Q4 estimated taxes are due January 15th.

If you're scrambling to figure out what you owe, you're not alone.

But here's what frustrates me…

Most business owners have no idea if their estimated payment is right because nobody is checking to see what specialized tax incentives are available for them.

They're either:

  • Overpaying (giving the IRS an interest-free loan)
  • Underpaying (setting themselves up for penalties)

Your CPA should be helping you calculate this accurately.

But let me guess — you haven't heard from them since last April?

That's the problem with tax preparers.

They show up once a year, file your return, and disappear.

Meanwhile, you're making quarterly payments blindly.

Random Business Idea

Industrial cleaning is a classic "dirty job" that businesses pay big bucks for. But you don't have to start a cleaning company to capitalize. Instead, you can stay behind your computer, stay clean, and still earn big.

Two ways to do it: sell Google Business optimization to local companies who offer that, and start a directory site for people who are looking to get that service. I could see both of those becoming real earners.

2 Enemies Of Conversions

Difficulty and lack of trust are the two biggest sales killers. Look at your process and try to get rid of both of them. For trust, add case studies, testimonials, personal results, and anything else that's hard proof.

For difficulty, make your funnels extremely simple and offer something for free or very cheap to get your foot in the door. Leave very little room for doubt. Friction is the enemy. Make things as smooth as you can.
