Why High-Achievers Burn Out and How to Break the Cycle

Have you ever had one of those mornings where you’re running late, mentally organizing your to-do list, trying to remember if the lunchbox got packed, and somehow still thinking about a client’s email you forgot to answer?

It’s not just a busy season. It’s the invisible mental load.

Lately, I’ve been thinking about how much space that hidden load takes up. All the tracking, planning, anticipating, and remembering. It rarely gets acknowledged, but it weighs just as much as the tasks we actually check off.

And for so many of us, especially business owners, that mental weight never fully turns off.

We don’t talk about it enough, but it matters. The constant cognitive juggling affects how we show up, how we feel, and how much we can truly enjoy the life we’re building.

So if you’ve been feeling tired in a way that rest doesn’t seem to fix, I want you to know you are not alone, and you are not doing anything wrong. You are carrying more than most people see.

This is an invitation to put that load down for a moment. To name it. To start sharing it. And to remind yourself that burnout isn’t a personal failure. It’s a sign that something needs your care and attention, especially you.

You deserve to feel supported. You deserve to breathe. And you deserve to build a life that makes space for you too.

With you in all of it!!
