Selling The Wrong Thing?

People Do Not Buy What You Think They Buy

Most business owners spend way too much time talking about features.

The product, the service, the price.

They explain what it does.

They explain how it works.

Then they wonder why customers are not lining up.

The reason is simple.

Most people are not buying the thing.

They are buying what the thing does for them.

A gym is not selling equipment.

It is selling confidence.

A financial advisor is not selling spreadsheets.

They are selling peace of mind.

A contractor is not selling materials.

They are selling protection, pride, and certainty.

The businesses that understand this can charge more, attract better customers, and stop competing on price.

The businesses that do not understand it end up in a race to the bottom.
