One thing about high performers… |
They stay curious. |
The best entrepreneurs are constantly learning. |
Not because someone told them to. |
Because they know one idea can change everything. |
One sentence in a book. |
That is all it takes sometimes. |
The dangerous part is when people stop learning because they think they already know enough. |
That mindset gets expensive fast. |
There is always another level to reach. |

What Are You Feeding Your Mind?
You don't have a lead problem.
One of the more common things I hear from people is that they need more leads.
More outreach, conversations, visibility - more volume at the top of the funnel.
And sometimes that’s true. But more often than not, what they actually have is a trust problem.
Because most are not losing business because no one knows they exist. They’re losing business because the market doesn’t have enough evidence to understand why they should choose them.
That usually shows up in subtle ways.
A prospect replies, but goes quiet.
A conversation starts, but never really moves.
A referral comes through, but the fee gets questioned.
A client takes the call, then decides to “think about it.”
Most people read that as a lead issue and assume the answer is more activity.
More follow-up. More messages. More people in the funnel.
But if the people coming into your world still have to work hard to understand what makes you different, more volume doesn’t solve the problem. It just gives you more chances to lose the same sale.
This is the part most miss.
Trust is not built because someone takes a call with you. It’s built long before that, in all the small moments where your market is deciding whether or not you feel credible, current, and worth paying attention to.
It’s built in how clearly you articulate the problems your clients are already feeling. It’s built in whether your point of view sounds informed or interchangeable. It’s built in whether someone can quickly understand what makes your approach different from the ten others saying roughly the same thing.
That is the real gap for most firms.
Not lead flow. Trust density.
When people understand how you think, what you see, and why your approach is different, the conversation changes. Sales cycles shorten. Fee sensitivity drops. Follow-up gets easier because people are no longer trying to figure out whether they trust you. They’re deciding whether the timing is right.
That’s a very different sale.
And it’s the reason more people need to stop obsessing over lead volume and start paying closer attention to how much trust their brand is building before the conversation ever starts.
Because in this market, more leads won’t fix a trust problem.
They’ll just expose it faster.

Not Everyone Claps For You
This is one of the stranger parts of success nobody really talks about. |
You hit a goal. |
And suddenly you start noticing reactions. |
Some people get genuinely excited for you. |
Others get quiet. |
Some smile to your face while secretly hoping it falls apart tomorrow. |
That is just reality. |
Success exposes people. |
Not everybody can handle seeing someone close to them level up. |
And if you are not careful, you will start shrinking your wins just to make other people comfortable. |
That is a dangerous game. |
